​Looking for sloths in the rain forest
An easy and fun walk to find these beautiful creatures, the sloth is one of the most sought after animals by our visitors which has led them to become a national symbol. We have designed a special tour to be able to observe as many sloths as possible in a short period of time, visiting their favorite habitats in secondary gallery forests with the help of a professional naturalist guide you will be able to observe, photograph, learn about the natural history and conservation of these animals. We will meet our guide at the agreed place after booking the tour to drive for 10 minutes and start our walk in search of the sloths.

In very rainy days it can be more difficult to find many sloths.

Enjoy the most extraordinary views of the Arenal Volcano on a gentle hike along the base of this marvelous "Mountain of Fire". The Hike begins at 8:00 a.m. Through the forest you have the possibility of spotting monkeys and a variety of birds including toucans. The walk on this trail is about 4 km with a medium level difficulty.

Mistico Park Hanging Bridges Tour
A gentle walk through a mix of tropical rain forest trails and suspension bridges. This place holds a large amount of wildlife, especially many species of birds. With an area of 350 hectares of primary forest, this place offers beautiful views overlooking the volcano and Lake Arenal.

Ecocentro Danaus Nature Walk
We will walk in a private Biological Reserve that develops conservation programs, training environmental education, sustainable use of the land. There are trails through secondary forest, where you can see in its natural habitat a wide variety of plants and animals, butterflies, alligators and iguanas, basilisks, two and three toed Sloths, the poisonous red frog, the red-eyed tree frog, and birds all of them are easily observed in every tour. An educational trip where families with small children and teenagers will also find lots of fun and learn about nature conservation.

Early Bird Watching in La Fortuna
Birds are most active early in the morning; join us for one walk in La Fortuna area or near your hotel for an amazing display of tropical birds. You are likely to see toucans, parrots, oropendolas, colorful tanagers and parakeets. We will wrap up both by listing and discussing the birds we have seen.
